Uncontested Divorce

Why Do You Need an Attorney in an Uncontested Divorce?

To ensure that all of the legal requirements are met. Divorce is a complex legal process, and there are many steps that need to be followed in order to finalize the divorce. An attorney will help ensure that you are completing all the necessary steps and that your divorce is finalized correctly.

To protect your legal rights. Even though you and your spouse agree on all the issues, it is still important to have an attorney review the divorce settlement agreement to make sure that it is fair and equitable. An attorney will also help you understand your legal rights and ensure that you are not giving up any of your rights in the divorce settlement.

To represent you in court. Even if your divorce is uncontested, you may still need to go to court to finalize the divorce. An attorney will represent you in court and make sure that your interests are protected.

Flat Fee Pricing

We understand that divorce cases can be stressful, especially when you do not know what prices to expect.

To take away some of the stress, Bridget offers a flat fee for an uncontested divorce at the rate of $3,800 per case.

This fee covers the costs of filing fees and attorney's fees, which includes representation of your case from start to finish.

Estate Planning

Living wills, powers of attorney and advanced (or end-of-life) directives are some of the tools that our office can put in place for your will planning and estate planning needs, ensuring that your loved ones are able to act according to your wishes. In addition, Bridget has vast experience as an estate planning attorney in handling probate matters and guardianship proceedings.

Services

Directive to Physicians

Sometimes referred to as a “living will,” this document allows you to make clear decisions about withholding or withdrawing life support if you have a terminal or irreversible condition.

Last Will and Testament

Ensures that your assets will be distributed to those you designate, when and how you desire — and makes sure your surviving minor children will be cared for by your designee. An estate plan also helps your partner and surviving family members avoid penalties, unnecessary taxation and court/attorney costs involved in probate.

Powers of Attorney

Gives your designated agent control over your health care and financial decisions, as well as access to you should you become incapacitated.

Standalone HIPPA Authorization

Allows you to direct health care providers to release medical information to the persons you designate.
